Associated Bus Company Plc recently held its 1st Annual General Meeting (AGM) as a publicly-quoted company on the stock exchange. The AGM was held at the Redemption Hall, Imo Concorde Hotels, Owerri on Thursday, July 19th, 2007. The landmark event was graced by the Directors and Management of ABC Transport and various shareholders. The businesses of the day were observed and relevant committees set up. The Board and Members approved a dividend of 8 kobo per ordinary share of 50 kobo each. The company has been commended for its transparency and steadfastness to deliver on its promises, as enunciated last year during its initial public offering. This occasion marked the fourteenth AGM since the inception of the company in 1983.
