ABC Transport to start online ticketing, Now on the Wide Area Network (WAN)
In preparation for its proposed on ticketing, which will enable customers purchase ticket from the comfort of the homes, the management of ABC Transport has deployed a suitable and reliable communication network that will link its branches spread across the country to a hub. Invariably, the ABC Transport Head Office located in the Imo State capital city, Owerri, with the new communication network will have access to the activities carried out at its operational locations all over the country.

In this era of increasing dependence on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), every dynamic organization is compelled to rely on this technology in order to offer high-level services. Distance is no longer a threat or barrier in the business world as this has been compressed by a click of mouse. This lastest communication network will support delivery of applications such asp accounting, email, and Fintrack Enterprise Manager which can be transmitted over the network. This, of course, will foster interconnectivity between terminals and also between the corporate head office and the terminals. It will also faciliate effective flow of communication within the system thereby improving on the general management and administration of the organization.

With an appropriately sized satellite and a Managed Private IP Network which offers through put for use within the different ABC Transport locations, the network is optimized for data traffic to meet the company's requirement. It is envisged that ancillary services offered by ABC Transport which include Petty Cash, Parcel and Cargo Services will be greatly improved. Waybills and Parcels can now be tracked by the various terminals on the network making transactions faster and more convenient.
