ABC TRANSPORT LAUCHES NEW BUSES ON THE WEST COAST & OWERRI/ABUJA ROUTE

ABS Transport has introduced new buses to enhance its passenger operations in the west Coast. This bus re-fleeting for the West Coast operations was done owing to the daily-increasing demand for ABC Transport's travel and tour packages along the West African sub-region. Based on the heightened volume of patronage ABC Transport has been recording in the West Coast route within just 18 months of the inception of the international route, an extensive fleet increase was, therefore, most necessary. Since July 2004, when the inaugural trip was made by the coach West African service to Ghana , ABC Transport has continued to increase the frequency of its operations along the Coaster Belt of West Africa. From the operation of three (3) frequencies each per week from both Accra and Lagos , the frequency was increased to a daily service from both ends in less than a year of the inaugural trip.

The buses, branded Coach West Africa have specifically been assigned to service the west coast route. The ABC Terminal 3, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos shall still be used as the international take- off point for all buses bound for the West African sub region. ABC transport's international route presently covers Benin republic, Togo and Ghana . In the near future, to further consolidate the coach West Africa operations, there is a planned expansion to Burkina Faso and cote d'voire before the end of 2006.
